Freak Beans - Nurture The Seed 7"

Label: Vermin Scum
Year: 1991

Hey, look who is still in his "E-G" box of 7"s. This guy.
So, here's another oldie-but-nobody-ever-heard-of from the Annapolis post hardcore scene of the early 90's. Obscure enough? Let's hope so.
Recorded with Don Zientara if that gives you any clues as to what the band is going for. If not though, I'll give you my opinion. My very important opinion. I hear a mélange of D.C. bands starting with Marginal Man and running right through to Fugazi. So, essentially your Revolution Summer era semi-melodic, personally political, emo tinged, post hardcore. You know? If you are of a certain age, or a certain demographic, or you've owned more than one 7" that came hand stamped in a brown envelope, then this band should appeal to your sensibilities.
The singer of Freak Beans most recently showed up singing for St. James Infirmary, which wasn't all that recent, but, it's all I got.
