Lonely Moans - Sub Pop Singles Club 7"
Label: Sub Pop
Year: 1989
Singles Club #12
Lonely Moans were a dark horse entry into the Singles Club. Unless you were balls deep in the Tupelo Recording Company's catalog, chances are you hadn't heard of them prior to this record either (admittedly, they also had an Amphetamine Reptile 7" too...but that flew under my radar as well). But, they certainly fit the bill of grungy, wah-soaked riffs that combine some Fluid with some Mudhoney. An underrated little gem, and further proof that there was a time when you could buy things simply based on the record label they were released on.
