HONOR ROLE - Complete Discography

*1983 Demo
*It Bled Like A Stuck Pig
*Album
* Live @ CBGB (Mp4)
*Final Show (Mp4)

I have been re-uploading some dead links the last couple of posts. When I came across the couple of Honor Role posts that were dead, I decided to put this together. This is the mother-lode friends, with everything that was released and 2 full shows. Merge records released "Album" which included their last LP "Rictus", their first LP "The Pretty Song", the "Craig Olive" single, "Jank" (the b side of  "Purgarory" single) & the "Judgement Day" single. The extra stuff here is their original 1983 Demo, & 2 full live shows in Mp4 format ripped from youtube.

I grew up watching these guys play, and also had the pleasure of opening for them a couple of times when I was a little Virginia Beach skate punk. Honor Role is one of those bands on a long list that should have had more exposure. They were one of  the first bands I witnessed change from being a hardcore band into something truly different and original. One of the last times I saw them play they were opening for The Rollins Band, I believe it was The Rollins Band's Sixth show ever on their first tour. It seemed Henry had some issue with them, he made a couple of friendly jabs at them during his set, like I said they were friendly jabs, but jabs nonetheless. I never thought to ask Penn about that.

Honor Role soon broke up after that show, and Penn went on to form Butterglove, and then the mighty Breadwinner. Sometimes I forget how many great bands and people I got to bump elbows with growing up in the 80's hardcore scene. Again, Honor Role was an incredible band and if you have never heard them, you owe it to your ears to check them out. - Slander

I played in F.O.E, Dead Aim for a short spell, Mulch (for about 3-4 months), Skkully Bros. & Jermflux 92-94" Toured around with Buzzov-en for a small stint. Then moved to Austin for 15 years. Back in P-Town now.

* I didn't play in Buzzove-en, just sold merch and provided comic relief.

Oh hell yeah! Do you have any stuff from any other Hampton Roads bands from that era like Smokemaster, Baby Farm or False Sacrament?

I have some False Sacrament floating around here. Baby Farm eh? lol.. It's crazy how much they were hated.. I loved em. Been years since I have seen any of them. Most of them moved out to the Bay Area. I was jamming with Thel from False Sacrament about a year ago.. too math rocky for me, but whatever he is doing will be amazing. I just can't process 20 changes and jump from timings etc.. I will see what I can do. Smokemaster was great too. They were most of the members of Frontline, I think. I loved their drummer. No idea about any Smokemaster stuff.. another band I thought was great that didn't get much love.

With Thel it's more like Algebra Rock!

I still keep in touch with Chris from FS. I used to give those guys rides from to band practice when we all went to Green Run. I remember seeing Baby Farm and Smokemaster at this house show in Norfolk in like 86. Did FOE ever record anything?

Yeah F.O.E. did a shitty 5 dong demo and we put a tape comp with the demo and a mixture of two soundboard tapes called That Was Then, This Is Now". That came out 6 months after we broke up. I would kill for copy of it. I believe Chris is still out in SF. I've known that dude since 85, seeing him at shows and from GROG. Dude, have we met before?

We never met, I think I went to a party at your house in Norfolk after a show once in like 1990. I saw Chris a couple of years ago, he's really into distance running now and plays in a band--they did a tour of Japan last year, they just played in Virginia Beach a couple of months ago but I missed them due to moving to Charlotte
