Helios Creed - Sub Pop Singles Club 7"

Label: Sub Pop
Year: 1989

Singles Club #5
The exact guitar freakout weirdness you have come to expect from Helios Creed. Sort of the Travis Bickle of noise rock (unless you count Steve Austin of Today As The Day as the 'Travis Bickle of noise rock"...which is a point I might concede), all negative, all abrasive, always pointing out your faults.

i was trying to remember the masquerade show the other day trying to tell some schlub about how many awesome shows i saw back in the day because i was so awesome and so old. was it helios creed and jawbox? or helios creed and quicksand? or helios creed and jawbox and quicksand? also maybe a hammerhead thrown in there somewhere? or maybe i am thinkoing of 2 or 3 different shows? i instantly thought GRAY WOULD KNOW. love-phil.

I feel like Quicksand played once with Surgery, they were supposed to play with Rage Against The Machine but the show was cancelled, and they played another time that I'm having a hard time remembering. I saw them open for Helmet, with Crawlpappy, but that was in Wilmington, NC.
I don't remember them ever playing with Helios Creed. Definitely not Hammerhead, and I'm pretty sure not Jawbox. Jawbox played there with Girls Against Boys that one time...but it conflicted with a Line Drive show at the Wreck Room.
Coptic times, bro.
