CARBOMB / FISTICUFFS BLUFF - THE U.F.O. INVASION

Label: Troubleman Unlimited, Youth Strike Chord.
Released: 1995

A small departure from what I've posted thus far but still in keeping what else has been posted here. Fisticuffs Bluff play some post hardcore with female vocals but I'm posting this for the Carbomb tracks as here, they are the "bomb". Fast, frenetic hardcore with more of a fun than serious aspect. Musically reminds me of Nation of Ulysses in parts and by the third track your "air drumming" should be in full affect.

I was always bummed I never got to see Carbomb. Such a great band. Other people were way more into Fisticuffs Bluff, I always thought they were a bit *meh*, but nice folks...

I'm with ya brother...I had to go back to record their side of the record before I could post this. Just love the energy of Carbomb - shame they weren't around for long!

Carbomb was amazing. I got to see them several times during the Summer of 1995 and they were even better live. All their stuff was recorded on a 4-track, so you could only imagine what it would have sounded like in a real studio. I will probably post their discography over on my blog, or give Gray the MP3's to post here. Also, you can see some live footage here: http://www.thesoundofindie.com/?p=298

Cheers JJ. I also have the "Young Heart Attack" E.P., Ezrapound split single and the "Total Eclipse" CD. Great video by the way and great blog. I won't post too much hardcore here as there are many blogs doing that already. Oh & the live track is "Constitution Revolution" from the Young Heart Attack E.P.

For those curious about the comment of "100 Watt Clock" there is some good info here and a link to some tunes (sounding very Fugazi like):
