It's been quite a while. Very sorry for the lack of posts... I was in a gnarly fruit booting accident. Tried to take 2 sets of stairs backwards and finish with a spin, but fell and ate it pretty bad. Not having health insurance really put the cherry on top and put me into deep depression. But now I'm back. The doctors used pig hoofs to replace my feet and lady fingers to replace my fingers.

Let's do this.

2009, the year of the reissue, I've seen and bought reissues from Devo, Jesus Lizard, the Pixies, Sunny Day Real Estate, Beatles, etc. So here's the latest. It sounds fantastic, thanks to Mr. Bob Weston, who also oversaw the remastering of the Jesus Lizard catalog(That also sounds fucking brilliant. you know how Goat was always too quiet? Not anyfuckingmore).

Killdozer demonstrate the antithesis of the 'cover record' - to make it better than the original (which some may say is not hard in this case). Unbelievably (man, did I just right that?) I was totally unaware until today that this band are the king of covers. In keeping with earlier traditions (thanks Cara) this is pretty damn funny too!

Book Of Knots - Traineater

This record popped up on the ole Ipod (that's what she said) today, and after not hearing it for a good long while, I decided I rather like it. It's an interesting mish-mash of experimental rock, post-metal, and gothic psychosis. Kind of a Nick Cave meets Made Out Of Babies by way of Foetus...or something. 

There's quite a cast of characters as well, some you undoubtedly have represented in your own record collections, and some you may have never heard of. The core of the group is Carla Kihlstedt (Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, Charming Hostess, 2 Foot Yard), Joel Hamilton (JJ Paradise Players Club, Battle Of Mice, Glazed Baby), Mattias Bossi (Sleepytime Gorilla Museum), and Tony Maimone (Pere Ubu, Battle Of Mice, The Scene Is Now, Red Krayola). The guests are; Tom Waits, Mike Watt, David Thomas (Komet Crew), Jon Langford (Flashheadz), Megan Reilly (P.G. Six), and Carla Bozulich (Ethyl Meatplow, Geraldine Fibbers), Zeena Parkins (Elliot Sharp), Kathleen Brennan (Tom Waits...as in his wife and collaborator), Rick Moody (David Grubbs)and Aaron Lazar (Storm Of Light).

Goon Moon - Licker's Last Leg

Another wildcard, and one that I'd rather not try to describe too much. I'd just assume you give it a shot and let me know what it sounds like. But, the caveat is, you have to listen all the way through. No cheating. You can't just listen to one song and say, "not my thing", because every song is different from the last, and chances are...well...just chances are, alright.

If it helps, and it should, the main two contributors to this project are Jeordie White (Marilyn Manson [yeah, yeah, I know, it hurts me too], Nine Inch Nails, A Perfect Circle, etc.), and Chris Goss (Masters Of Reality, Desert Sessions, Queens Of The Stone Age, and producer extraordinaire). To round out the sessions they got Josh Homme (Kyuss, Queens Of The Stone Age, Desert Sessions, Them Crooked Vultures, etc.), Zach Hill (Hella, Waaves, Team Sleep,Crime In Choir, Holy Smokes, etc.), Dave Catching (Mondo Generator, Eagles Of Death Metal, Desert Sessions, Earthlings?, Queens Of The Stone Age, Yellow #5), Josh Freese (Nine Inch Nails, A Perfect Circle, The Vandals, Guns N Roses[?!], Viva Death, Daredevils. etc.), and some others. That should give you some indication as to what you're signing up for.

BURNOUT - LOUNGE's

When I heard this for the first time on the radio I was like "what's this? what's this? what's this?" as it lept out of the speakers at me. Being an excitable scroat back then I was impressed by anything that "rocked", though this is still one of my fave tunes to date. Rocks hard in the vein of Drive Like Jehu with a great guitar sound throughout. The only downside is the band never seemed to reach the heady heights of their opening record, but that's only my opinion. Only ever released a 6 track LP that can be previewed here (via the king of forests). Both single & mini LP are also still available via Drag City.

DRAIN - PICK UP HEAVEN

Thought I would post this due to the interest of previous posts here. The CD contains one track from the single and I originally bought this based on the strength of the tracks from the "Love & Napalm" compilation. However the album is a little "hit & miss" for me. The 2nd track on the CD makes you think that your listening to an acid house track from the late eighties. I guess this was a precursor of what their 2nd album (Offspeed and In There) was going to be like. However there are still a few tracks on here akin to the earlier releases.

CARBOMB / FISTICUFFS BLUFF - THE U.F.O. INVASION

A small departure from what I've posted thus far but still in keeping what else has been posted here. Fisticuffs Bluff play some post hardcore with female vocals but I'm posting this for the Carbomb tracks as here, they are the "bomb". Fast, frenetic hardcore with more of a fun than serious aspect. Musically reminds me of Nation of Ulysses in parts and by the third track your "air drumming" should be in full affect.

Drop Acid - Making God Smile

This one's a wild card, and it goes out to my man White Cory (aka Lumpy) as he and I seemed to have discussed the merits(?) of this very record some time ago. As a result, I dug it out of the mothballs and gave it a spin for old time's sake. 

Still sounds the exact same. Not that it should have morphed over the years into a new record, but I guess it means it hasn't really aged per se. It hasn't aged poorly, or aged well, it's just sorta...the same. Certainly a relic of the early nineties, but it's kinda remained a time capsule.

If you followed 7 Seconds past "Soulforce Revolution" (and I can't blame you if you didn't), this record would (or will) come as no surprise. It's Kevin Seconds expanding on that "Soulforce Revolution" sound and adding some of the de rigeur grunge pop into the mix. Sort of a Seaweed versus later 7 Seconds versus Mudhoney amalgamation. I really liked it when it came out (most likely due to an allegiance to Kevin Seconds more than anything else), and as a nostalgia trip, it's pretty fun.

My unadulterated love for all thins Walter Schreifels has been documented on these pages before, so it should come as no surprise that this live set from Rival Schools should show up here.

It is my understanding that this is a set from the reunited band, and since there's not much info with these tracks, I'll go with that assumption until someone can tell me otherwise.

The sound quality is A+. The performance is excellent as well.

Look, if I want "pretty music", I'll stick to bands who specialize in "pretty music", not some sensitive beardo who used to be totally into Neurosis, but then discovered Mogwai, and now wants to "build their songs to a crescendo" by slowly and lifelessly picking at the their undistorted guitars before the inevitable, and predictable, and lame "climax", when the guitars coming roaring to life on top of a riff Amebix wrote 25 years ago, and wrote 25 times better. Ugh. Enough already. Please. If I hear another band referred to as "glacial", "monolithic", or "NeurIsis" I'm going to drown my own children in the tears of their sobbing puppy who I will have just splayed open with a butterfly knife crafted from the still warm rib of my wife's now lifeless corpse that lay vanquished atop our smoldering ash pile of a former homestead. For reals.

You want "pretty music", here, here is some "pretty music".

well...i could've...but why?

the lizard tour is grinding to a halt...they're playing 2 dates at the metro in chicago at the end of the month (the 27th-28th...both dates sold out...surprise surprise)...and just when i'd thought that i'd come to grips with the fact that i'll more than likely never get to see them live...they go ahead and add another date for another show at the metro to rub salt into the wound (they're playing a new year's eve show...i'd go ahead and get my tickets now if i were you so you'll be able to see the balls drop with mr. yow and the boys)

and from what i've been reading...there will more than likely not be another tour later down the line...but i've said it before...the jesus lizard are about the only band from the heyday of decent music (aka "the late 80's/early-mid 90's") that wouldn't be beating a dead horse (that's right...i'm looking at you pixies and helmet) by releasing another album and touring

MEATHOOKS - CAMBODIA SOUL MUSIC

Hmm, now lets see. A complete noise dirge from start to finish maybe the best way to describe this. Though the LP still manages to retain some element of rock rather than the white noise more associated with the likes of Merzbow & the ilk. Alternatively maybe the band themselves have a better description "A cracking mess of psycho-noise, spasmocore fever and bleak metallic churn".

Originally released on Disastro-Mix record label & distributed by Noiseville records. Only released on vinyl as far as I know and still the odd copy floating about. Most tracks blend into one another. I have a couple of singles too so I'll upload those in the fullness of time.

Red Fang - Live in Atlanta with Subrig Destroyer and Wizard Smoke

If anyone in the Metro Atlanta area is around tomorrow night, head on out to the Drunken Unicorn for this ripping show! I am actually leaving the house! And I'm yelling!

For reals, if you can, come on out, this should by a hoot. I'll be there with crew, being hard, slam dancing, and the like. You know, good time party behavior with a straightedge slant. Except I'll probably be pretty drunk. And high. Possibly hallucinating as well.

COPASS GRINDERZ - SURFING VIETNAM

Apologies if I've devalued this record by posting this (only 500 made) but I don't see much point keeping a 17 year old obscure record under wraps. That said CG fans, at least 1/2 the songs on this 4 track 7" you will have heard before in some shape or form, but at least you will know what was on this single.

Recently Gray posted a live album by the band called "Rock'n'Roll". Confusingly there is an album by the same name (on the same label!) that seems to be a completely different album. Though without trawling 2nd hand shops in Japan then it seems unlikely I'll be getting my hands on that anytime soon (King Records Japan, 8 track CD, KICS-647). There is another live album by CG called Rokuonki '91-'92 which is the same as the live album posted except that it does not have the 2 cover tracks and instead contains the track "J" from the TVVA compilation.

Kepone - Kepone

I posted some Kepone awhile back, and went into this whole thing about how I didn't really like them all that much, and this and that, but ultimately, there were some really good songs on the record (as well as a couple duds). And then, it turned out people were stoked on Kepone, and the fucker got downloaded (I guess technically, it is still being downloaded) a fair amount. Who would've guessed.

So, here's the other album that I had. It's their last release, and there was one other one in between "Ugly Dance" and this, but I never owned it, and still don't, so I can't tell you if it's any good or not. But this one, much like "Ugly Dance", is a mixed bag. You got a few really cool tracks ("Pointless" being an example), and a few that miss the mark a bit. Or an otherwise good jam, with a weak chorus or something. You know what I mean.

It's worth it for the strong material...maybe you can start cobbling a "Best Of" compilation from the two records now posted here. That would be a hot album.

Year Future - Year Future ep

Here's a quick post, for a quick record.

Since most people (and by "people" I mean "people named 'me'") seemed to love The VSS, and follow Sonny Kay from project to project, I thought we (and by "we", I mean "we named 'me'") would enjoy a little taste of Year Future. 

Where The VSS took a more grating approach to their post-hardcore  work-outs, and relied on some piercing keyboards to spice up their sound, Year Future look back to the first wave of post-punk and Goth for inspiration. And while that might not sound too appealing to some (and by "some" I mean "some people named 'me'"), this actually works really well. If you like Bauhaus, but would only admit it to get in your girlfriend's pants, then this one is for you. If you like Alien Sex Fiend, but only would admit that to get into...uh...maybe some dude's pants...then you will like this. Wiry, trebley guitars over rumbling rhythms, with Sonny Kay's unmistakable vocals over the whole mess.

And least you think this is merely a Sonny Kay vanity project (or post), I will tell you that the other members of the group are no joke, Rockey Crane (Dead and Gone, Creeps On Candy), Sam Ott (The Fucking Angels), Jim Anderson (The Pattern, Blackfork, Talk Is Poison). Real talk ya'll. 

Highly recommended.

If you are/were/plan to be a fan of The Buzzcocks, maybe you'll want to hear some bands cover their songs. Maybe, right? Generally speaking, these "tribute" albums kinda stink, and this one isn't gonna change your life or anything, but if you like the Buzzcock's style, you'll probably make it through this unscathed. If you don't care for the Buzzcocks, then you can probably skip it, as the renditions are pretty faithful.

Alright, now go....play something. Play whatever noisy, crazed racket you can conjure...just keep fucking playing!

This band has been sodomizing your earholes since 1986, but this record was recorded in 1998, and not released until 2009. Quite a work ethic eh? This might be the closest thing to black metal we post on this site. Not sayin' it's black metal, but if you're into the isolationist, newer American style...you might like this. If you like freaked out noise...you might like this. If you pack for a vacation using a cooler...you might be a redneck. Jeff Foxworthy ladies and gentlemen, Jeff Foxworthy.

Pissed Jeans - Shallow

Prior to some massive (not to say completely undeserved) hype, Pissed Jeans was a noisy punk band in the tradition of the some of the great noisy punk bands; from the grating proto-sludge confrontation of Flipper, to the hardcore revisionism of Drunks With Guns, to the over driven throbbing veins of Shorty, all the way through the herky-jerky post-screamo caterwaul of Abe Vigoda. I get a feeling these dudes have great record collections, because they seem to have synthesized the last two decades of underground loud music into a cohesive assault that leaves little to be desired.

Personally, I kinda dig this record more than their last two albums, but that being said, their last two albums rule, so....

If you thought their newer stuff was a might bit "too Jesus Lizard-y", give this record a whirl and let me know what you think.

Sometimes you just want to drive around with some mindless music. You know, music you don't really have to think about. Music that is best enjoyed at a high volume. Music that won't change your life, but will more than likely change your mood. 

That's kinda the point of rock music isn't it? You don't have to dwell on the details, just accept the visceral rush to your brain. Or at least that's part of the point anyway. 

When you're ready to switch off the ole bean, try this record on for size and go do something stupid.

Fortunately I was in the right place for this session so we are tape hiss free! Recorded at Maida Vale, Melt Banana are on blistering form and power through a 30 minute set. Quite a few tunes from their "Scratch or Stitch" & "Charlie" LP's and other countless singles & splits. If anyone wants to add a track listing then be my guest!

Melt Banana are currently on tour in the US at the moment so don't pass up the opportunity of seeing them live.

Pride Parade - Dose

This is the brand new record from Athens, Georgia band Pride Parade, who, to me at least, are absolutely fantastic. If you downloaded the Atlanta double compilation I posted a few months back, you no doubt will remember them as a highlight of that collection. They have a knack for mixing a few different styles of guitar rock into one big, loud, bombastic racket. You like growling sludge-damage (a la the faster Harvey Milk jams)? Got it. You like snaking Led Zeppelin rave-ups (a la The Tom Collins)? Got those too. You like the distorted thud of noise rock (a la Tar)? Yep, got it.

Basically, it's all the fun stuff that made up your formative years in rock-n-roll distilled into one glorious album. It's like the bar band at the greatest bar of all time (except Cheers...that place seemed pretty untouchable, nobody should be asked to compete against that).

The band is offering this as a free download, but would love to have a little cheddar back from you if you like it. Or, they have a vinyl version for sale via their website. You can help the cause here.

Vineland - 7"s - A Tribute To Jerry Fuchs pt. 2

First and foremost, Jerry Fuchs is not on either of these 7"s. He played in the band starting around 1996, and there is an album worth of unreleased material from his tenure in the band, but sadly, it languishes in somebodies closet somewhere.

I wanted to post the Vineland records, not only because they're great records, but because when I think of Jerry Fuchs, it's Vineland that I think of. I think of seeing Vineland play in the front room of a friend's house, the Landfill (what up Jon Milavec!), and being so stoked because the drummer was "one of us". A guy who left his small town to join up with one of his musical heroes, not ever thinking for a second what a hero he would become to so many other people. And of course the band killed it, especially that drummer. He always killed it, it was just how he played. Such a natural dexterity, such seemingly effortless talent. He was unreal, and it was that one performance that really opened my eyes to just how great he was.

Think I'm exaggerating? Ask anyone who saw him play. Shit, just a couple of months ago, a friend of mine who's been playing in bands for years, a guy who's run sound at a local rock club, a guy who records bands for a (partial) living, a guy who's seen his fair share of bands, he saw Jerry playing with Maserati, and was compelled to pull him aside after their set to tell him how outstanding his drumming was. He had never met the guy, and didn't realize who he was, but Jerry made such an impression, he just had to say something. 

That was the effect his talent had on people. It will be sorely missed in the years to come.

Turing Machine - Zwei - A Tribute To Jerry Fuchs pt. 1

I realize that folks don't swing by this blog for overwrought personal rants or outpourings of emotion, but when someone you know dies unexpectedly, it tends to bring out the softer side of a guy, so you'll just have to bear with me a second.

To the friends and family of Jerry Fuchs, I want to extend my condolences for their loss, it's a heartbreaking tragedy that someone so well loved, and someone so talented should pass away in the prime of their life. It's hard to imagine a more senseless turn of events.

There are plenty of eulogies much more eloquent than I could muster all over the internet, and a brief scan would give the uninitiated a pretty clear picture of the impact, both musically and personally, that Jerry had on those around him. For such a humble guy, he certainly cast a huge shadow, and his contributions to modern music will not be soon forgotten.

I will post a couple records that are related to Jerry Fuchs in some way, but I am starting with Turing Machine on the recommendation of James Joyce, since James, also a powerhouse drummer in his own right by the by, is of the opinion this might be the purest expression of Fuch's drumming. And it is hard to argue with this rhythm section, they swing when they need to swing, they pound when they need to pound, and they lay back in the cut when it's time to relax. All told though, it's the rhythm section, and most notably the drums that are propelling this album along.

CROWN ROAST A.K.A. "RIG"

Before Crown Roast were known as, er, Crown Roast they were known as Rig. However there was another Rig about at the same time (kinda Big Black clone, well, they used a drum machine) so they changed their name to Crown Roast. The A side of the single on Unclean (UR-18 for the office workers) was "Warthole" which you'll find on the album (exact same version). So I've not included that, but just the B side which is a worthy edition to your Crown Roast catalogue.

Completing the requests for Polio here is the split with Sap. Polio follow in the same vein as the album whereas Sap follow a harsher tone - great rousing stuff with a more hardcore edge.

We've covered Tar here before, so I needn't get too deep into a description of their sound. Plus, it's Saturday night, and I just got home and put the kids to bed after a long afternoon of cooking out and drinking Coors Light, so I'm a little tired, and slightly drunk. The Tar request was a good enough one that I wanted to oblige it though, so I'm powering through.

Tar is awesome. Tar are more refined than many of their brethren of the same era. Tar remind me of college. That is all.

This is a double 7" that keeps the druggy good times rolling for Boss Hog. Blues-soaked, slowed down, druggy good times. You know the deal. Es bueno.

Is it possible that we never posted this long lost gem? I checked the archives and didn't see it, so before I delete it off my computer (it's coming out of rotation on the ole iPod), I figured I had better remedy this situation. Stat!

From the makers of King Snake Roost comes this little treat of deranged noise rock. And what a treat it is. Delightful! There are members of Mudhoney, Lubricated Goat, and other freak-a-zoids on board for the ride, but if you know King Snake Roost, then you kinda know what you're getting into. It's muscular, burly, unclean dirges of bass-driven hate-speak. And I mean that in a good way.

Peeping Tom - S/T

Well, I'm not going to try and put one over on you - this is by no means Patton's best work. It is, however, a really interesting and good album. There are a couple of cheesy lyrics and the like but this is definitly the kind of album you can play while driving around or something.. and it might make you feel really ballin' if you turn the bass up really high. I would put this album above Faith No More and below Tomahawk and Mr. Bungle on the Mike Patton meter. Assuming there is a Mike Patton meter. If there was, the bad side of it would still be good compared to most other music so take this for what it is - one of Patton's many experiments - and enjoy!

POLIO - PICNIC

A request for a Polio singles? How about a whole album?

While I have both the Polio singles requested the Hercules E.P. is included here. Good job as the E.P. contains one of my favourite noise rock records - "Los Duenos Nueve". For those unfamiliar with Polio the vocals may take a bit of getting used to but it's worth it as the music is solid. Driving, churning stuff throughout.

Hail Mary - All Aboard The Sinking Ship

Remember when Black Flag decided to start playing slower songs, and Greg Ginn decided to indulge all of his inner-jazz-skronk desires? It was around the latter half of 1984 or so, in case you forgot. Well, that alienated a lot of their fans, and while I'm pretty sure the band could have cared less about the musical demands of their "fans", they were at least kind enough to introduce a replacement band in the form of Bl'ast to soothe those not comfortable with Black Flags own artistic shifts. Bl'ast would continue the sonic template of the old Black Flag and grind out a few albums of atonal hardcore hate fucks that, at times, rivaled the mighty Black Flag themselves. I mean, shit, you could even go see Bl'ast and get confused as to why there's a dude playing a clear Dan Armstrong guitar, or a clear lucite drum kit a'la (oh, wait...) Black Flag. It's understandable. Really.

So, fast forward a few years later, and you got Born Against criss-crossing the country serving up a particularly caustic brand of hardcore. Great lyrics, great music, great graphic identity...sounds familiar right? Yeah, well, in a familiar move, Born Against decided they would start playing slower, and they would start indulging their every noisy indulgence. Sure, some people rolled with the punches and stayed on board with them (hey...oh, yeah...I get that too). But of course, there were those who cried for "the old Born Against", and for those disgruntled "fans", Born Against served up Hail Mary. Same record label, same graphic identity, and same furious, intelligent, grating hardcore assault. There you go fans, you're welcome.

Sidebar: I was searching for an image to go along with this post, and noticed this record on three or four other blogs...oops. Sorry, I hadn't seen it around, but I'm kinda lazy. Oh well, maybe you hadn't seen it around either.

UNSANE - PEEL SESSION No.3

Disclaimer - sound quality isn't the greatest here - a question of right time / wrong place (which annoyingly was the same case for the Shellac session that happened in the same month). Anyway, past the tape hiss & radio reception we have 3 Unsane songs that you know (Trench/SOS/Blew) and 2 that you may not (Radio 1/Speak English). The last one we have Unsane joined by P.W. Long and this session is worth hearing just for that.

This was the last Unsane session for the John Peel program, originally broadcast July 30th, 1994.

All the components that you'd expect - noisy, chaotic, discordant with great vocals. One of the members of this band now makes up the US contingent of Todd.

these folks from cedar falls,ia were part of the united sons of toil show i'd given a write up a few spaces down

they were 1 of 2 bands that blew me away that night (the other being tusot of course)

and in keeping with the "this would've been more appropriate to post over on CGB but i'm doing it here" tradition...

experiencing this band live could be compared to running with the bulls: it's all exciting until you get gored...and this music is what's going through the bull's head as it's tossing you into the air in order to get to the people in front of you

and to use the bull analogy again...that's exactly what vocalist jacob reminded me and the girlfriend of as he stalked the line between band and audience (i knew i was going to be in for a show as he started stripping down to a t-shirt and a pair of basketball shorts before the band went on...and he has a pretty kick ass thundercats belt buckle as well)

the band is as confrontational as hank rollins lead black flag mixed in with unsane and the band 16 (who they remind me a lot of)

so with that all being said...put on these red pajamas and stand in front of the band

this was sent to me by a member of the band that goes by the name of dave (there are 2 daves in the band...so i'm not able to pinpoint which dave sent it...so thanks dave)

this is a trio out of philly that play "noise punk" (dave's words)

as soon as i laid eyes upon the band's name...i was all in...i mean...who hasn't experienced that?...i still do...i mean...you're sitting in the break room at work...and the "special" girl receptionist comes into the room...it takes everything you have to approach the table she's sitting at...and then to drop the note in front of her that took you hours to write the night before and then run off to the handicapped stall in the bathroom with the self-confidence of knowing what you just did...and all of the courage...maaaaan...that in itself could lead to some (one sided) nervous sex...and maybe if you're lucky...the note itself to lead to some two sided nervous sex

but i'm getting away from the task at hand

that being the music

in the email he'd sent me...he mentioned that the first 2 songs were a little on the harsh side while songs 3 and 5 were more on the "poppy/easier"side...and then i got all like "oh maaaaan...what am i getting myself into?" as pictures of bands such as (actually...i'm not even gonna sully the good name this blog has by bringing in the visions i had going through my head)...as soon as i started listening to it all of that went away (even during songs 3 and 5)....and as i continued listening...4 bands popped into my head: devo/lightning bolt/godheadsilo/need new body (whom they share a home turf with)

and that in itself makes quite the combination

i fucking love what this band is doing...they feel the same way about music as i do: finding a rhythm in anything...be it through monotony or feedback (sonic youth does that as well) and going with it...there's needs to be more of this type of stuff happening...they self-released the album...they play instruments they made themselves

i could see this as getting picked up by a label such as skin graft (fitting along side of the flying luttenbachers and that ilk)

even the band's "poppy/easier" side kinda comes off sounding like old school godflesh

so ok....maybe more than 4 bands come to mind

and i feel that i can't finish this without mentioning the band's 3 member...he goes by the name of bill (what part does he play in the band?...i'm not really sure...but i'm sure he fits in nicely amongst the daves)

and you should feel free to also go over to their space and drop them a line...become their friends...get in on the ground floor before it all goes down,bro...and tell them that SGM sent you

Cop Shoot Cop - 5 Song Demo

For a long time I assumed the name "Cop Shoot Cop" was a description of two police officers in an altercation. You know, one police officer discharging his sidearm on another police officer. Seemed to make perfect sense.

Well, turns out it's not a description of two law dogs unloading on each other, it's a description of a drug addicts day. Cop drugs, shoot drugs, cop more drugs. 

I guess that makes sense too.

This is their first demo. It's rough around the edges, but if you like Cop Shoot Cop then you can handle things being rough around the edges. Also, if you liked those Shithaus demos, you should like this as well.
