Requests and Bric-A-Brac

There have been a few requests piling up over recent days, so just wanted to let folks know that they will be filled very soon. I have and will post the following in the next couple of days:
Unwound - Repetition
Arcwelder - Pull (re-up)
New Brutalism - 1999-2001

Also, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who is taking the time to add their two cents in the comments sections and on the message board. I don't think anyone writing on this blog would qualify as a "music expert" (we just play them on the internet), so when you have corrections, additional information, or general stories to share about the posts, that is much appreciated. And for those people posting links to other albums and things, that's great too, I'm glad to see people sharing. Keep it up.

And remember how I called Buzz Osbourne a "douche" the other day? Yeah? Well, I'm off to see the Melvins open up for Down tonight. Maybe they will prove me wrong, and blow me away like I know they're capable of doing, or maybe they will insist on being "clever" and alienating their audience with some tedious doom/noise "experiment". Let's hope for the former. Weedeater is playing too, so at least I can expect some minor hearing loss come tomorrow morning.

I am a music expert and as such I insist that the Jesus Lizard video is unleashed.
Great blog. Sorry for not commenting earlier, my expertise is in great demand you see.

I couldn't bring myself to do it. I've seen them a million times (as I said down there - I was a super fan back in the early 90's) and haven't really enjoyed their work... well, since 'Stoner Witch', actually. Don't hate it, it just seems to bounce from hermetically sealed experiments to Kiss worship of the highest order. I should love it - I dunno, I'm thinking the problem I have with the turn of the century / Ipecac material is that stock production all those records seem to have. It all sounds kinda samey to me.
