Chavez - Better Days Will Haunt You

Year: 2006
Label: Matador

Here is the reissue of both Chavez full lengths with a couple b-sides, comp tracks, and an unreleased song thrown in for good measure. There is a dvd included, but you'll have to go buy that. If you're not familiar with Chavez, it's picture perfect indie rock that employs catchy pop jams ensconced in thick guitar tones, with unique vocals. That description makes it sound like Smashing Pumpkins huh? If you like Smashing Pumpkins or Hum, you'll dig this. No irony, no glum sad-sack bullshit, just good time rockin' that veers from delicate to crushing.
Matt Sweeny who sings and plays guitar here, went on to play in Zwan, Superwolf (with Bonnie Prince Billy), and played on the first Early Man record. The rest of the band came out of Wider, Bullet Lavolta, Live Skull, and Skunk.
Essential.

Badly ripped. Each song has a few seconds of every track, like a collage. Hideous. Do not download unless corrected.
