this was the bands third full length (eighth release over all)...and was also the band's second to last release (the last being an ep titled electro shock for president..released in 1997)

vocalist tim taylor was killed in an automobile accident in may of '97 (they band has just returned from a european tour with beck)...guitar player john schmersal (who replaced original guitar player michelle bodine in 1994) went on to form the band enon...drummer tyler trent went on to briefly join the breeders...bass player juan monasterio went on to direct music videos and also recently released an album with a new band called model/actress
