Steel Pole Bath Tub - Venus In Furs 7"

As the years go on, I seem to circle back around to the Velvet Underground more and more often. Like every couple of months I go through another Velvet Underground "phase", and bother my wife with incessant plays of Loaded and White Light White Heat. I try to explain that the beauty of the band is that they are basically two awesome bands in one; the Lou Reed poppy stuff, and the John Cale art drone. And they are both equally awesome (which version of Velvet Underground do you prefer?)!
So, as I am currently into one of by bimonthly (lunar-based of course) phases, this Steel Pole Bath Tub 7" featuring not one, but two, pretty faithful Velvet Underground covers seems appropriate. Yes?

    Really each VU album is a different band, I always say that you can tell a lot about a person based on which VU album they like the best. Mine is the self-titled third album, as it has some of the best Doug Yule songs and is almost like the first indie-rock album in aesthetic. First album is arty, second is punk/avant garde, third is mellow, fourth is the rock masterpiece. What other bands have such a track record?

    There isn't a bad one in the bunch (save those few Nico songs), but for me White Light White Heat is the go-to. Unless I'm feeling mellow, then it's Loaded or VU.

    Basically, they're the Led Zeppelin of art rock...they were the biggest, baddest, and did it the best.
